Saints have been getting on their bikes to raise money for the Academy’s forthcoming tour of Australia.

More than £800 was raised as coaching staff and players cycled around 15 miles off-road from The Ship Inn in Blackbrook through to Rainford, Crank, Moss Bank and Billinge before heading back to The Ship in some of the worst weather conditions in the area for some time.

The event is part of a variety of other fund-raising initiatives that have already included an Evening With The Bradshaws, a sponsored climb up Snowdon and other events.

Next weekend, the Community and Media Departments will be competing in the North West Triathlon in Nantwich.
