Important information from the RFL's Coaching Section:

As you will be aware, after June 2009, all Modified Game, Club Coach and Senior awards will become null and void. In order to remain qualified after this time, existing coaches with an old award need to "bridge" over to the new UK Coaching Certificate system.

The UKCC is a nationally recognised qualification and is designed to focus on the importance of the coach within Rugby League.

Coaches with a Modified Game, Club or Senior award can bridge to the UKCC Level 2 which is the standard qualification required for the 13 a side, community game.

The RFL Coaching section are pleased to be able to announce that, due to additional funding, with immediate effect, the total cost of bridging will now be £50 per coach. Due to the limited availability of the funding, this revised price will only be available until December 2008.

The new cost covers all the stages in the Bridging Process.

For those who have paid £30 already you will need to pay only another £20. Refunds will be available for those who have already paid in full.

The Club and Coach Development Officers (CCDO's) who are out full time within the Coaching community offering continuing support with all coaching issues, especially bridging, can be contacted direct or by calling 0113 237 5010.

Appointments do need to be made in advance and we can make sure we cover the information you need.
