Saints captain Paul Sculthorpe not only received favourable reviews over the weekend for his fine performance against Hull KR on Friday night but also received the Man of the Match award from Executive Match Sponsors, Hattons Solicitors.

Sculthorpe came off the bench and finished the game with a try and four goals on his first home match of the season to seal the win at Knowsley Road by 42 points to 14.

Sponsoring the game was Hattons Solicitors who were represented on the night by Senior Partner Bruce Hatton and his guests. With already a huge presence at the ground with the large advertising structure on the Main Stand, Friday night saw even more excellent exposure of Hattons Solicitors branding with their sponsor boards, burst thru and of course thousands of ‘Try and No Try’ cards distributed to the fans by volunteers from the Princes Trust prior to the game.

Commenting on the match day sponsorship, Bruce Hatton added

‘I am keen to be seen as a brand associated with Rugby League with our International presence on the Ireland shirt, in the amateur game especially with Thatto Heath and with teams in the lower divisions but especially with ‘Saints’ the hometown team that I have supported since I was a kid. We received kind attention on and leading up to Friday night and my guests and I had a great time’

The sponsorship complemented the ongoing relationship between Saints and Hattons Solicitors and was an addition to the 2 year sponsorship deal secured earlier this year that saw the renaming of the Main Stand until the end of the 2008 season.
