St Helens trio of Chris Dean, Matty Smith and Steve Tyrer have extended their loan periods at Widnes Vikings until the end of the season.
All three have become integral members of the Vikings’ squad over the past month.
Saints Chief Executive Tony Colquitt said: “The extensions are a continuation of our policy to develop our young players. All can be recalled to the club at 24 hours notice.”
Widnes Sporting Director, Terry O’Connor, added: “Matty Smith and Steve Tyrer are proven Super League players and have brought quality to the side which was evident in our victory over Salford City Reds.
“Chris Dean is a name that no-one knew prior to his debut against Halifax but his two-try, man- of-the-match, debut and his versatility to switch between the three-quarters and the back-row makes him equally as valuable to the side."
