Cunningham Issues Rallying Call

SAINTS’ Captain Keiron Cunningham is urging fans to get to the season's opener against Hull FC on Saturday to get behind the team and set the tone for the season.

 

Keiron said: "The game on Saturday is going to be a massive clash against a strengthened and rejuvenated Hull FC team. It's my last season at the club and the club's last season at our historic home. We know that we can rely on great support from our fans and you can be assured that we'll be giving our all to get back to the top this year.

 

“Our fans can be a 14th man for us on the pitch and we are really looking forward to what will be a great atmosphere in a huge game to kick off our season. I will be taking greater pride than ever in leading the team out for my farewell year and I know that the fans will turn out in force and get behind us."

 

Saints home opener against Hull kicks off at 5.45pm on Saturday February 6 – and tickets are now on sale from both club shops and online at www.saintssuperstore.com

 

You can save £1.50 by advance purchasing your ticket 48 hours before matchday.

  Longy can be assured of a cracking reception from the fans, not too sure about the lads out on the park though! First game of the season last year was awesome, i couldn't speak for 3 days afterwards, i'm aiming to make it a week this year! Will be sad to leave Knowsley Road at the end of the season but onto pastures new which is probably about time, can't wait to hear the roar come Saturday night!
