Kids Give Rugby League A Try

9th Mar 2010, 5:09pm

PAUL Sculthorpe and Boots joined Portico Vine in coaching youngsters who wanted to give Rugby League a try recently.

The double Man of Steel gave sessions on ball handling and other aspects of our great sport and was impressed with how the kids did.

St Helens Service Area Co-ordinator Ste Leonard said: “We were delighted with the turn out to the event at Portico Vine last week. We have kids who had never played the game as well as Union players who wanted to try out our sport.

“The attendees really impressed us all with how quick they picked up the fundamentals of the game and we are planning a new session very soon.”

My lad attended the session and thoroughly enjoyed himself. We are both season ticket holders and he loves the Saints and has been itching to play the game. Thanks to Saints and Paul who stayed and chatted to the lads and us parents long after the session was over. Keep up the good work
