Parking and Travel

There will be NO on-site spectator car or coach parking at the stadium other than accessible parking for disabled spectators. Any requests for accessible parking should be directed to the RFL.
 
There are a number of parking restrictions, for both private vehicles and coaches, in place around Murrayfield Stadium on both event days. 
 
Spectator Coaches/Mini Buses
 
ALL general coach parking will be accommodated on the A8 Corstorphine Road and coach drivers will be directed to specific areas along this route dependent upon time of arrival. The coach parking areas are highlighted on the attached map which is also available to download from the RFL’s Magic micro site.
 
Lothian & Borders Police have requested that all supporter’s coaches approach the parking areas as follows:-
 
·         A720 Edinburgh City Bypass
·         Upon reaching the Gogar Roundabout follow signs for the A8 City Centre – directional signage will be in place on the A8
·         As you approach the periphery of the stadium there will be temporary signage and Police to direct coaches to the Corstorphine Road parking areas
·         Coaches should not arrive prior to 12.00 Noon on Saturday 2nd May and 10.30am on Sunday
3rd May
·         Coach parking is located within a 5 minute walk from the stadium
·         NB Supporters coaches should not arrive until 12.00hrs on Saturday 2nd May and 10.30hrs on Sunday 3rd May
·         There is no charge for coach parking and coach passes will NOT be issued. 
 
Park & Ride
 
Supporters arriving by private vehicle should utilise the two ride facilities, both located to the West of the City, approximately a 15 minute bus ride from the stadium
 
The park & ride service commences at approximately 06.00 and concludes at approximately 23.00.
 
·         Hermiston park & ride is situated to the West of the A720 Edinburgh City by-pass on the A71 Calder Road, has 500 car parking spaces and a shuttle bus departs every 10 minutes and drops off on Gorgie Road at Westfield Road
·         Ingliston park & ride is situated is also situated to the West of the A720 Edinburgh City by-pass on the A8 at Edinburgh Airport, has 1000 parking spaces and a frequent bus service to and from the stadium which drops off on the A8 Corstorphine Road at the Ice Rink.
·         Single fare cost: £1.20 for adults, 70p concession (children and senior citizens)
·         Shuttle bus drop off points are marked on the attached map (available to download from the RFL’s Magic micro site
 
Street parking is available outside the restricted areas – approximately 1 mile from the stadium.
 
Public Transport
 
For those spectators who are travelling from Edinburgh City Centre to the stadium there are a couple of public transport options as follows:
 
Lothian buses run regular services which – for details of services and timetables log onto the Lothian Buses website: www.lothianbuses.com
 
There are regular local train services which run from Edinburgh Waverley and stop at Haymarket train station, approximately a 15 minute walk from the stadium. For details of services and timetables please log onto the National Rail Enquiries website: www.nationalrail.co.uk
 
Spectators wishing to walk to the stadium from the city centre should follow the A8 (Princes Street) corridor westbound to Roseburn Street where the turnstiles are located. Approximately a 30 min walk.
