Supporter information:

  • Stadium Location:
Millennium Stadium is right in the centre of Cardiff, on Westgate Street close to Cardiff Castle. Traffic on the way to and in Cardiff will be exceptionally heavy on the day, so please make sure you have allowed sufficient time for your journey.

  • Travelling By Car:
Please note there will be variable message signs displaying travel information, on all motorways in to Cardiff. Please look at these and follow the advice given, as traffic is monitored by the Police and messages will be changed to give you up-to-date advice during the day. When leaving the stadium, again follow the variable message signs, which will direct you to avoid the worst of the traffic. The roads around Millennium Stadium are pedestrianised one hour before kick-off in the first match and one hour after the final hooter.

  • Car Parking:
Car parking in the city centre is very limited; however there are substantial Park & Ride facilities. Follow signs to the Council Park and Ride facilities available just outside the centre for a charge of £5* per car. Buses drop 10 minutes walk from the stadium.

  • Coach Parking for Privately Organised Trips:
There is substantial coach parking available between 5 and 15 minutes walk from the Stadium. Please contact the RFL for an application form for a free coach pass which must be obtained in advance.

*To be confirmed.

Accommodation:

Although Cardiff’s hotels and guest houses have reported heavy bookings from fans attending the event, you may still find vacancies at some hotels and bed and breakfast establishments within the city.

You could also consider staying in some of the attractive places on the border between England and Wales or within Wales itself. Many of the towns or villages along the route to Cardiff offer great hospitality, sensational scenery, great shopping and easy access to Cardiff and the Millennium Stadium.
