LAST CHANCE: Your 2020 Membership Rebate Options

We would like to thank all those 2020 Members who completed our Membership options survey back in June. Following feedback from this we are now able to provide a further update to Members around options for their 2020 Membership.

As we explained back in June at the time of the survey, there has been an unprecedented amount of uncertainty and disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, with wide-ranging effects on both our Club and the wider sport of Rugby League and our fans.

We are also acutely aware of the pressures the lockdown has created in the local and wider economy with no household being left unaffected.

This has a been a hugely difficult period for all concerned and during the crisis, the Club has seen the vast majority of its income streams halted since the middle of March.

Despite this, our fans have still been supporting us admirably, by purchasing merchandise online from the Club Superstore and by enjoying our Saints TV subscription service, and we thank you hugely for this.

As our Chairman has already highlighted on many occasions in the past, your incredibly loyal and proud support of our great Club, is what keeps us going through the bad and the good. Our appreciation cannot be overstated, and we are eternally grateful for each and every fans’ individual and collective contribution.

We remain hopeful that fans will be able to attend the Totally Wicked Stadium for games later in the calendar year, but there are of course no guarantees.

In the meantime, all 2020 Members can stream all Saints’ televised fixtures in August for FREE via the OurLeague App, all details of which can be found here.

With games being played behind closed-doors for the foreseeable future, this means that a number of games from your Membership will become invalid, and therefore you would be entitled to have this unused portion of your Membership – which we have termed as your Membership value, refunded back to you.

We are not certain at present, how many games or what portion of your Membership this is likely to be, as we do not yet know what path lies ahead in getting our supporters back watching games live.

For 2020 Members, there are three options available – donation, credit or pro-rata refund, all of which are explained below.

A kind donation of your Membership back to the Club, means you would not claim back any credit or refund, this would be an incredible reflection of your already resolute support for our Club and help us to maintain financial stability in this difficult period.

Choosing to credit will mean you have your Membership value credited back to you in the form of a discount on your future Season Memberships for the next three seasons (2021, 2022 and 2023). This credit is your Membership value split equally into three discounts that are then applied across the next three seasons.

The final option is to refund your Membership value (as determined above) this pro-rata refund would be given for the number of 2020 regular season home matches that were played behind closed doors or that were removed from the fixture list. This option is the most damaging for the Club’s finances but we understand that the uncertain position many fans may find themselves in, means they have no choice but to request a refund and we fully understand this.

Please select your preferred option before Tuesday 15 September 2020. If you do not indicate your choice to us before this date, we will be assume that you are by default, happy to donate your Membership value to the Club.

DONATE:

  • Membership renewal prices will be frozen for the next three seasons (2021-23)
  • Donating Members names in the body of our official player warm-up shirts for 2021 season – these will not be available to purchase as retail products and will only be worn by the players themselves from the start of the 2021 season.
  • Donating Members names will be displayed in the player’s tunnel at the Totally Wicked Stadium for the next five years to show your commitment to the players as they enter the field.

CREDIT:

Choosing to credit will mean you have your Membership value credited back to you in the form of a discount on your future Season Memberships for the next three seasons (2021, 2022 and 2023) This credit is your Membership value split equally into three discounts that are then applied across the next three seasons.

REFUND:

Having analysed feedback from our survey and from other communications with Members over the recent months we are are acutely aware many families have suffered from the health and economic effects of the pandemic.

With this in mind, you can choose to receive a pro-rata refund of your Membership value that will be given for the number of 2020 regular season home matches that were played behind closed doors or that were removed from the fixture list.

This value can only be calculated after the end of the 2020 season.

To ensure fans who choose this option do not miss out going forward, we will still hold your chosen seat (where relevant) and offer standard level renewal prices for the 2021 season.

We will contact members who select this option to confirm bank details at a later date.
