First Team
Saints swooped to sign the Fijian flyer from Wests Tigers on a three-year contract ahead of the 2019 season.
And his debut Saints season was one to remember! He kicked off his career with the first try of 2019 against rivals Wigan at the Totally Wicked Stadium before going on to score 21 tries in 31 appearances including four against Hull FC and hat-tricks against Leeds and Hull KR. he crowned his first season at the Saints with a Grand Final ring and was rewarded with a Super League Dream Team inclusion. 2020 was equally as pleasing as he picked up his second ring in as many years as Saints went ‘back to back’!
The experienced 29-year-old centre scored more than 50 tries in 113 NRL appearances and is currently Captain of Fiji.
Naiqama played his junior rugby for Arncliffe Scots before being signed by the St. George Illawarra Dragons.
He then moved to Newcastle Knights, and played alongside his brother Wes, until he signed for Penrith Panthers in 2014.
In-between, he starred for Fiji in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup – a feat he repeated in 2017 as Captain when he took his international tally to 15 caps.
Naiqama joined Wests Tigers in 2015 and posted an impressive try scoring record.
