Danielle McGifford is a new signing for the Red V, having joined Saints ahead of the 2023 campaign!

Born on the 11th April in Crewe, McGifford plays as a winger for the Red V. Having not played a competitive game of rugby league before the 2023 season, Dani scored two tries in her first game, a 76-0 pre-season victory over Bradford Bulls at Crusader Park on 2nd April 2023.

Dani’s favourite rugby league player is Jonny Lomax, as he has overcome severe injuries and his determination.

McGifford has said that she will answer why she loves playing rugby league after her first full season is over, at the end of 2023.

Dani made her debut during the opening game of the 2023 season in York, and is the Heritage Number 45 for St Helens Women.
