St Helens RLFC has made a pivotal signing in its bid for the title as it announces a three-year, exclusive sports nutrition sponsorship deal with Science in Sport.

 

To ensure Saints go the distance this time around, they have signed the company behind the world’s first isotonic gel; Go Gels, which are scientifically proven to enhance endurance by forty five percent during exercise.

 

The Saints became the Modern Era’s most successful rugby league team after winning three of the four trophies on offer in 2007. They are determined to go one better in 2008 by adding real substance to the engine room and regard Go Gels as one of its most important signings in recent years.

 

The gels are particularly relevant to rugby as independent research carried out by Loughborough University’s Stephen Patterson, confirms Go Gels’ effectiveness in increasing endurance after prolonged intermittent high-intensity shuttle running.
