St.Helens R.F.C. are seeking to appoint an experienced Head Groundsperson to work as part of our team who are responsible for the maintenance and general condition of the pitch and grounds at the Totally Wicked Stadium, and at our training ground at Cowley International College (1.5 miles away).
Key responsibilities are:
Preparing and maintaining the pitch and at the Totally Wicked Stadium and the training facility, to the required standard
Providing ground staff support to matches/fixtures when required
Implementing weekly, monthly and annual agreed maintenance programmes for all facilities, including the landscaped areas around the stadium.
Liaising with appropriate staff on the availability of pitches for training and matches, and advising on the fitness of pitches
Working with different types of machinery and equipment to prepare and maintain the pitches
Undertaking general maintenance of equipment
Undertaking general maintenance around the stadium grounds and facilities as required/directed
Assisting with the maintenance of trees, hedges, planted areas and paths, including spraying
Assist with cleaning within the stadium when required
Assist with the waste management within the stadium as required
Terms and conditions:
Normal hours based around 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required to accommodate seasonal variations
Some evening and potential weekend work required depending on fixtures
