SAINTS’ players have been working closely with Community Saints on a host of events this summer.

Senior and junior players have joined in coaching camps, awards ceremonies, tournaments and education sessions. The players are as popular as ever with the youngsters who watch them from the terraces.

Gordon Pennington, Community Saints Manager, said: “We’ve always had great support from our players at the Club. They take a great deal of interest in Community Saints. Many young players such as Gareth Frodsham and Gary Wheeler have previously worked as coaches with us, while many of the senior players are impressed with our junior events as they have children of their own.

“Whilst our community coaches are always out and about with club mascot Boots, it’s great to have the backing and time of our first team players.”
