SAINTS are working around the clock to ensure the pitch is in the best possible condition for Friday’s Stobart Super League match with Salford City Reds.
A dome has been erected over the surface and staff have been on site for more than 48 hours to make sure the game is on.
Hot air is being circulated under the covers and this will remain until as late as possible on game day.
“Committed people have been putting in long shifts to get the pitch ready for Friday’s game,” Mike Rush Saints’ General Manager said. “The pitch will be in the best possible condition tomorrow night considering the temperatures we have been experiencing.
“We’d like to thank everyone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help us prepare the surface.”
