Chairman Thanks Fans

SAINTS Chairman was officially made a Freeman of the Borough of St.Helens, for his service to sport, at a ceremony held at St.Helens Parish Church last week.

Eamonn stated: “It was a moving and emotional event for me. To be made a Freeman of my home town, and a town which means so much to me, is a great honour, particularly when you realise how few people have been made Freemen over the last 150 years of the town’s history.

“In addition to thanking the Borough Council, I would pay tribute to the people of St. Helens and the fans of the Saints. It is their desire for a great team and for a great stadium that has motivated me over the years and it is only through their support that I have been able to contribute.

“My family were equally proud on my behalf and it was particularly pleasing that my daughter Anne flew back from Hong Kong, where she lives and works, to be with me on such an important night.
