IN his latest blog for Hattons Law, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook has spoken about the last three matches.
The 26-year-old played a big role in Saints 31-18 win over Leeds and was the outstanding player in the loss to Wigan at the Magic Weekend.
He said: “After losing to Wigan in the cup we came back with a vengeance and completed the double over Leeds for this season. I felt that we pulled together really well as a team, and we showed just how dangerous we can be. It was also nice to get a bit of revenge after last year’s Grand Final.
“But we were all really upset with our performance as a team (at Magic). Our defence was poor and we never really got going or made the most of having an extra man on the field. Things just wouldn’t stop going wrong!
“This week at training we have regrouped and are working on our defensive skills and where we went wrong in the game. We’re playing Hull FC away this Sunday, which will be another tough game as they are playing really well this year.”
