MIKE Rush is acutely aware of how well London Broncos are playing as Saints prepare to host them on Friday.
Tony Rea’s side arrive at Langtree Park with three wins on the bounce and in Luke Dorn and Craig Gower have two of the League’s most in form players.
“They had a good win over Castleford and played well against Warrington,” Rush said. “They are scoring a lot of points especially from kicks. Dorn and Gower are playing well too and we will need to limit their space to make it difficult for them to play.
“But we are at home and have to concentrate on ourselves as well as squeezing them when they have the ball.”
Saints will be without Michael Shenton for the match – although he has a good shout of returning next week – and Chris Flannery.
Ade Gardner, Josh Jones and Jon Wilkin have been recalled though.
“Of course you are thinking about the future and in particular the playoffs, but we have to prepare for this game first,” Rush added. “There’s no point looking ahead as we need to get two points and they should make sure we are in the top four. Then we can focus on the Wigan match.
“We want to sign off the League programme at Langtree Park well and it will be a tough game. We still need the points to finish in the four and getting four points will likely see us finishing third. There is still a lot to play for and we have to make sure we keep on winning.
“The playoffs will probably be the closest competition for a long time. The top three at present all have a chance. No one would want to go to Catalan would they? Leeds have big game experience. Huddersfield can prove on the day how good they are and can beat anyone.
“Hull have turned over some big teams and Hull KR beat Warrington and ran us close at home. Bradford have nothing to lose and Wakefield have a strong chance too. It should be great.”
