MIKE Rush expects to have a near fully-fit squad to choose from when Saints take on Warrington this Saturday.
Ade Gardner and Chris Flannery are back in contention leaving only Michael Shenton and Shaun Magennis unlikely to take to the field.
“It’s good to have competition at this time of the season,” he said. “We need competition for places as it brings the best out of the players.
“We are preparing to play in a ferocious and big semi-final. We got on a roll by beating Wigan and Warrington but that will count for nothing if we don’t get a win on Saturday.
“It is knock out and the circumstances are different.
“But it is big we’re at home and the coaching staff and the players can’t impress enough how important it is for the fans to get behind us. That can make it a real semi-final atmosphere like they did at Warrington.
“If we have three ends chocker then they can blow us over. We need to know we have the whole town behind us.”
Tickets for Saturday’s match at Langtree Park, kick off 6.15pm, are still on sale.
