LANCE Hohaia is looking forward to getting more game time as he returns from injury.
The Kiwi missed the last couple of weeks but made his comeback at Hull KR on Sunday.
And despite the result, he was pretty happy with his appearance.
“It was good to be back out there,” he said. “I’ve had a stop start season so far but injuries are part and parcel of the game. I felt a little rusty and off my best, but once I get more game time and train regularly then I can play some more consistent football.
“Wilko (Jon Wilkin) has done well under the circumstances – he hasn’t played at half back for a while he hasn’t had the back up with other half backs. Paul Wellens has done well there; I’m hoping to come in and take the pressure off him and benefit the team.”
He continues: “As a squad we have done pretty well with the setbacks, but it isn’t ideal not to have your 1, 6, 7 and 9 not together for the season. Hopefully I can get back and play well and then Jonny Lomax will be back soon too.
“It will be a big test on Friday and we are looking forward to it. They are a dangerous side who are a genuine top four or five team. They came to Langtree Park last year and put in a good performance to win the points.
“We know it isn’t going to be an easy task but we will continue to work hard in training and know we have to up our game.”
Saints take on Catalan this Friday with a 8pm kick off.
You can buy your tickets from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park or by calling 01744 455 052. Turnstiles will also be open on matchnight.
