JON Wilkin says he is relishing the thought of matching up with Hull KR once again.
Saints travel to the Robins in the Fourth Round of the Challenge Cup this Saturday (2.30pm) with the 28-year-old expecting his charges to improve.
“We have a clear focus on improvement,” he said. “It is fresh in our minds what we need to do – especially after our recent match over there. Our aim is to be better.
“Injuries are a factor at every club; we just have to deal with it and get on with it. If you talk about injuries you can become consumed by it. We know that despite missing those players we had chances to win our last two matches and we have to produce those opportunities once again so we can take them.
“It has been a massive learning curve for us all. I’ve been at the club for a long time and there’s an assumption that in those tight moments we will come up with quality to win games.
“Things are different at the moment but I firmly believe we will be better for the last two weeks. We have young guys learning new roles and senior ones too. I am positive that we will benefit from recent events in the long term.”
