#magicmoment For Roby

SAINTS hooker James Roby has cited the 16-16 draw with fierce rivals Wigan Warriors as his favourite #magicmoment from previous Magic Weekends.

Roby is the latest Super League star to share his favourite memories of previous Magic Weekends ahead of this year’s two-day extravaganza which returns to the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, on May 25-26.

“To come back from 16-0 and almost win the game with our last conversion was a great comeback, especially, in such a hard-fought derby match,” said Roby. “The atmosphere that day – and at all the Magic Weekends – was fantastic.

“It’s a different and exciting opportunity for all the players to perform in front of a mixture of fans from all the Super League clubs. And it’s a credit to everyone involved that the event can be staged, as I’m sure other sports simply couldn’t consider the concept due to the suspected trouble between rival fans.”

Roby’s side St Helens go up against Warrington Wolves in this year’s event and having already claimed the scalp of their rivals once already in the league, he’ll be hoping they can make it back-to-back wins at Magic.

“I’m really looking forward to the game against Warrington,” he said. “Our games normally bring out the best in both teams and this game shouldn’t be any different.

“We got the better of them earlier on in the season and they’ll be wanting revenge but we’ll be ready to take the game to them.”

Tickets for the 2013 Magic Weekend start from £30 adult and £15 concessions for the day and just £45 adult and £22.50 concession for the whole weekend.
