WILLIE Manu is enjoying his partnership with Francis Meli and expects it to get better each week.
The former Hull FC loose forward has struck up a good understanding with his centre teammate over the last three weeks – and it’s played a part in Saints three wins on the spin.
“We weren’t at our best against London,” he said. “We are trying to improve every week, and it was a good result for us, but we know we could do better.
“We were a little lethargic in the game – I suppose that is because of the short turnaround from our trio to France – and I thought we did well to finish with a good score.
“We are taking every game as it comes but we want to finish as high as we can. Finishing fifth will give us a home semi too.”
He continued: “My partnership with Franny can only get better. We have had a short time to work on it and we will keep on working. It has gone well.”
