ST HELENS College have teamed up with Saints to deliver a range of exciting opportunities for those students embarking on vocational courses this September.
Students at the College will have the chance to participate in work experience as well as paid work placements at the multi-million pound Langtree Park alongside high profile Saints players.
Catering and Hospitality students could gain proficiency in the conference and banqueting areas of the stadium, as well as within match day hospitality and catering outlets.
Media and Photography students will also be able to gain experience in video production, editing work, journalism and match day reporting.
Jette Burford, Principal, said: “St Helens College is delighted to be working so closely with Saints as it will really enhance the learning of our students who will be given the unique opportunity to gain real, valuable work experience within a prolific environment.”
Mike Rush, Saints CEO, added: “This partnership can help students at the College expand their knowledge and skills in a real life setting as well as enhancing their CV’s which could lead to new opportunities for them in the future.
“We are also keen to see our own players benefit from a supportive learning environment at St Helens College as we help equip them with qualifications for their future”.
This fantastic new partnership comes in addition to the £56 million that the College has recently invested to develop the brand new, state-of-the-art town centre campus, ensuring the provision of world class facilities, classrooms and workshops.
St Helens College also prides itself on offering personalised student support which can be anything from help with dyslexia or other learning needs, to financial guidance, health and wellbeing support and careers advice.
As enrolment for 16- 19-year-olds opens, new students can drop in to find out more about St Helens College, meet their tutors, get careers advice or information and sign up for a course starting this September.
Saints players will also be on campus on Thursday and Friday next week to welcome new students as they embark on their future.
