PAUL Wellens has praised Saints’ loyal supporters after they backed their favourites to a fifth win in a row.
The Club Captain was impressed with how many fans travelled over to Wakefield and Catalan as well as those who made Langtree Park light up in the last two matches.
“We’re entering a crucial part of the season and to have as many fans like that on Sunday behind us, is superb,” he said. “We have done it tough at times during the season but we are starting to put a run together and want to end the season on a high.
“The noise at Wakefield was superb and certainly contributed to the win. I have no doubt it will be the same when we face Warrington next week.
“Games against the Wolves are always big occasions and we are looking forward to the test.”
Saints and Warrington are currently level in their Super League series and game three is at Langtree Park next Friday.
