Saints Win Club Of Year

ST HELENS picked up the 2013 Super League Club of the Year accolade at Monday night’s Man of Steel event.

The award was presented to Chairman Eamonn McManus at a star-studded dinner at Old Trafford – the Home of Lancashire County Cricket Club.

It recognises the sterling work of everybody at the club and specifically the investment in developing a world class facility at Langtree Park and the continued success in the area of youth development.

Mike Rush, Saints CEO, said: “We are delighted to receive the award and everyone at the club should be proud with what it has achieved. It is good for our work with youngsters to be rewarded, especially as this season we have promoted more Academy products into the first team than ever before.

“Our partnership with Rochdale and Whitehaven has seen several players dual-registered too and our community coach Ian Talbot coached the Hornets to promotion only yesterday.

“We have a strong business plan for Langtree Park and believe we can go from strength to strength. Its continued development has made it one of the finest rugby league stadiums in the country.”

Saints would like to congratulate all the award winners at the event.
