SAINTS would like to thank all the fans that have signed up for what looks set to be the most exciting Super League season at Langtree Park to date.
Close to 7,500 supporters have backed their heroes for 2014 so far… and there’s still time to join them.
The Club has made some big signings for Super League XIX as they aim to challenge on all fronts whilst fully cladding Langtree Park to establish it as the best purpose built Rugby League stadium in the world.
Scrum half Luke Walsh, props Kyle Amor and Richard Beaumont and back Matty Dawson have already linked up with their teammates in pre-season, and Club Captain Paul Wellens stated this week how much he has been impressed by their introduction so far.
Big Samoan Mose Masoe will join them soon, meaning Saints have a fierce and powerful forward line led by hooker James Roby who signed a new five-year deal last week.
With Walsh leading them around the park, and a fast and pacey backline backstopped by Jonny Lomax, there is understandable optimism in the air at Langtree Park that is could be a big year.
15 players have also been promoted from the Scholarship into an Academy set-up that has yielded the likes of Robes, Lomax and more than 30 other Super League players.
And, more than 2000 replica shirts for the 2014 season have been sold too – making next season’s home and away shirts the most popular to date.
Saints CEO Mike Rush said: “We’re really impressed with the numbers of fans that have backed the team in 2014. We have built a strong squad and developed our stadium to ensure we can challenge on all fronts next season.
“But we need more. The club can only get stronger if more people get behind us and support us in 2014. We want to reach 9,000 season ticket holders by the beginning of the season and we all have a part to play in that.
“The Early Bird deadline for season tickets is Christmas Eve and they offer great savings on matchday prices. And, we’ve made it easier for fans to pay with a six-month direct debit option too.
“But we’ve also added a lot of value as well. Season Tickets get you 10 per cent off full priced merchandise and £15 off the new home and away replica shirts when bought together.
“Juniors get away games free, fans can get 50 per cent off their Magic Weekend ticket as well as special rates in hospitality too, discounted away travel and priority for cup tickets.
“We all know fans who haven’t signed up for next season or haven’t come to Langtree Park yet – next season we will have a fearsome side that will challenge the rest of Super League and our stadium is the finest in the league. There really is no excuse!”
Spread the word, tell your friends, colleagues and family that 2014 looks set to be a huge year. Grab a Season Ticket and cheer on the Saints!
