SAINTS return to Langtree Park for the first time ths year as they begin their preparations for the new season.
Nathan Brown’s side have been working hard in pre-season and see this Friday’s friendly with Batley Bulldogs as the ideal warm-up to the long year ahead.
John Kear will bring his tough team to Langtree Park on Friday January 24, 8pm, and he is looking forward to pitting them against illustrious opposition.
He told the Dewsbury Reporter it is the game that excites him the most.
“Langtree Park is a great stadium and we can go out there and give it a real good go against some very gifted players,” he said. “It will give our players a taste of what the higher level is about and this match will stand us in good stead in preparing for the new season.
“We will see if we can defend then when Roby is running out from dummy half and you have Willie Manu offloading.”
Brown has indicated Saints will play their strongest side available and well as utilising the full first team squad.
