NATHAN Brown says despite Catalan Dragons recent run and injury list, Saints can’t show them any pity on Friday.
The French outfit sit 0 from 4 on the league ladder and are decimated by injury and suspension.
But Saints’ Head Coach pointed to their quality and said he expects an epic contest – especially in the early stages.
“The likes of Scott Dureau, Ian Henderson and Daryl Millard are all good players who played well under Trent Robinson but are long term injured,” Brown said. “They’ve lost players to suspension too and those players are hard to replace.
“But they have some capable lads there – Zeb Taia and Jeff Lima for example. For the first 20 minutes they will rip into us and we will have to play well to give ourselves a good chance.
“They have big strong men in the centre of the field and it will be hard.”
Brown says Saints should be healthy for the clash but Mark Percival will miss the match with a leg injury. Mose Masoe will retain his place in the side and there could be a call up for Anthony Walker.
“It’s difficult to leave players out who are experienced and working hard, but that’s the situation we’re in,” he added. “We left Anthony Laffranchi out on Friday and he is training well and helping the team off the field too.
“But we have big Al (Alex Walmsley) and Kyle Amor going well whilst Mose needs to be playing. Anthony Walker has been playing superb too and deserves a chance as does Mark Flanagan.
“We’d expect Mose to improve week on week and last Friday he did what we expected of him. He came over with a reputation and Hull KR’s forwards really challenged him.”
Saints host Catalan Dragons this Friday (8pm).
