Former Saint Gains Testimonial

MICKEY Higham has been awarded a three-month testimonial in recognition of his long and illustrious career, good character and service to the community both within and around Rugby League.

Micky started his professional Rugby League career at Leigh and moved to Saints in November 2000, winning the Grand Final in 2002.

He joined Wigan Warriors in October 2005 via Bradford Bulls in a deal involving the late Terry Newton. Micky signed for Warrington for the 2009 season and won Challenge Cup medals in 2009, 2010 and 2012.

The testimonial will be launched at a Free Family Day at Monks Club Woolston on Saturday September 13. You will be able meet Micky and a collection of Warrington Wolves players and find out more details of Micky’s testimonial events. A cheeky James Bond themed testimonial calendar will be revealed on the day. A special testimonial brochure is also being produced as well as his very own iPhone App game.

Events planned will include a series of Fans Q & A sessions (all including food and priced at £10 per ticket) in Warrington (HJ Stadium, Oct 15), Leigh (Miners, Oct 22) and St Helens (Langtree Park, Oct 29)

There is Ladies Night at Leigh Miners Institute on Oct 25.

The Village Hotel in Warrington will host a Gala Dinner on November 1 and a Ladies Night on November 14.

A Golf day and a curry night will also feature in the three-month schedule.

Micky’s chosen charity is Steps, which supports children and adults affected by a lower limb condition such as clubfoot or a hip condition.
