ADVICE for Saints fans travelling to Old Trafford by car or train.
From Northern Rail:
Please be aware Northern Rail services in and out of Manchester are expected to be very busy on Saturday due to the Grand Final at Old Trafford. We are adding extra services and carriages where possible, but with 65,000 fans expected, services will still be busy.
Please be aware that there are no direct services to/from St Helens Central station on Saturday.
- If you are travelling to St Helens Junction and stations to Huyton please travel via Manchester Victoria on the Liverpool Lime Street service. Please note there is only one service from Manchester Piccadilly to St Helens Junction so please make sure you travel via Victoria where additional seats will be available
- If you are travelling to Earlestown or Newton-le-Willows, please travel via Manchester Piccadilly on Chester or Liverpool Lime Street services
- If you are travelling to Liverpool via Birchwood and Warrington Central please travel via Manchester Piccadilly.
