THE official launch of the eagerly-anticipated 2015 season will take place on Sunday February 1 (6.00pm) at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester when, for the first time, fans can take part in the opening celebrations at a fantastic new event – Rugby League Rocks.
The 2015 season is set to be a special year for every First Utility Super League, Kingstone Press Championship and League 1 club and Rugby League Rocks will showcase the skills and personality of many of the sport’s biggest stars.
Hosted by former European & Commonwealth champion Iwan Thomas and BBC presenter Mark Chapman, Rugby League Rocks is an all-action show featuring a live set from a top band, dancers, acrobatic performances and the chance for supporters to meet their heroes.
Iwan Thomas said: “Rugby League is one of the fastest and most exciting sports out there and what better way to kick-off the new season than a massive event like this for all fans to get involved with and enjoy?
“Rugby League Rocks is going to be fantastic and an amazing way to start the 2015 campaign.”
Super League General Manager Blake Solly said: “The new season has been a long time coming and Rugby League Rocks will be the perfect opening to what we are sure is going to be a year to remember for fans of every club.
“Rugby League Rocks gives supporters a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the sport’s stars and wish them well for the year ahead.”
Tickets for Rugby League Rocks at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester on Sunday February 1 cost £10 for adults and £5 for children and can be purchased by popping into the Ticket Office at Langtree Park.
