Inglis: Saints Are Dangerous

GREG Inglis says Saints are a highly drilled side and Souths will need to be at the top of their game to come away with the result.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s World Club Challenge the Bunnies’ full back pointed to how well the Super League Champions move the ball – and how they need to quell that threat.

“They showed how good they were throughout the year and that is why they are champions,” he said. “They attack well and are well drilled in defence. We will need to so our homework, hold ourselves accountable and do our jobs.

“They have a lot of key players; every man out there is dangerous. Their biggest weapon is their ability to shift the ball out so we have to get our defence right.

“At the end of the day it will be a high quality game in front of a packed out stadium. Hopefully, half of it will be Souths.”

The Bunnies come over to England with a strong 20-man squad but are missing forward Kyle Turner who was injured in the All-Star game last week.

“We would have liked him to be here as with some of the other blokes too,” Inglis added. “They will be cheering us on from home. We have brought a strong squad over though and are coming into the game with confidence.”
