A NUMBER of Saints players have sent their best wishes to Martin Murray ahead of his WBA Super World Middleweight with Gennady Golovkin on Saturday night.
Captain Jon Wilkin, Paul Wellens, Tommy Makinson, Mark Flanagan, Adam Swift, Travis Burns and assistant coach Sean Long all backed the St Helens-based fighter to do the business in Monte Carlo in a special video message.
Wellens in particular likened those writing off the boxer’s chances to the ones who had Saints as outsiders in their Grand Final showdown with Wigan.
And we all know what happened there!
Saints wish Martin all the best in his bout and we are hoping it is part of a fantastic weekend of success for St Helens. We will be glued to our screens!
