KYLE Amor is hoping the loss to Castleford will give Saints an ‘upper cut’ to go on and be successful in the remainder of the campaign.
Ben Roberts’ last second drop goal ended the champions’ five game winning run.
“In the end it was the right result and we didn’t play as well as we have played in recent weeks,” he said. “We have had a good run – we won at Magic, on the road and in the derby and we didn’t want it to stop. Hopefully, last Thursday will be an upper cut for the rest of the season.
“A couple of players who normally are squeaky clean came up with a few mistakes – but you have moments like that in games. It is hard to be on top all of the time. We have to put it to bed and we look forward to getting better for this week.
“We go into the game confident and we know we have to produce a good enough performance for us to get into the semi finals. They play some fantastic rugby and it comes through Kevin Brown. We will need to be on our game and have a hard nosed attitude.”
