Tour Diary Day Three

DAY 3 – Fast on the heels of a busy training day yesterday our preparations for the upcoming game versus Wests intensified.

After our first proper night’s sleep the lads were up nice and early for 8:30am session with defensive responsibilities the primary focus.

Following the session, the players had a short recovery session in a lake with Robbie Horton quick and eager to identify a few carp swimming around there… much to Harry Coleman’s horror at there being fish in a lake!

After lunch we boarded the bus for a short visit to Homebush, the Olympic village for the 2000 games. Bus driver Dave Woods amused the lads with his factual disinterest of “sports that don’t count like badminton”.

We finished up at the aquatic centre and challenged the players to swim a full length of the pool with Callum Hazzard winning the worst dive award.

After a relaxing afternoon the players headed back to the training field for an early evening skills session where our focus shifted to some attacking options.

With the opening game just two days away the players are focused and determined to get the tour off to winning ways, and the staff are pleased with the teamwork on show after such a short time together.
