LAMA Tasi is already making his presence felt at Saints.
The 25-year-old prop signed from Salford Red Devils on a two-year contract and is ripping into pre-season.
Standing at 6ft 3 and weighing in at 16-and-a-half stone he’ll certainly add go forward to Saints’ pack this season.
“It’s been good so far,” he said. “I’m looking forward to taking to the field. Pre-season has been really tough but it’s what you would expect. I’ve settled in with my teammates too.”
Lama is originally from Auckland but moved to Queensland when he was three-years-old.
He played his ‘youth’ rugby league with Manly in 2009 and 2010, represented the Junior Kiwis and then signed with Sydney Roosters.
Lama stayed there for two seasons, making 30 appearances and earned a call-up to the Samoa team for their International with Tonga.
He would later join Brisbane in 2013 where his fearsome runs and hits would see him given the ‘Bondi Bruiser’ nickname.
Saints pre-season campaign will see them host Dewsbury (Jan 17) and Widnes (Jan 24) before they open Super League XXI at home to Huddersfield on February 5.
Tickets for the pre-season clashes are now on sale as well as Memberships for the 2016 season.
