Next up at Langtree Park is the mouthwatering World Club Series clash with Sydney Roosters!
Fans have been snapping up their specs at Langtree Park in great numbers – with Gold seating in the North and South Stands in very limited numbers.
The West Terrace still has availability too.
The game will see Trent Robinson’s Roosters come to St Helens as one of the most consistent teams in the NRL.
It is also 40 years since Saints travelled to Australia in 1976 to take on Eastern Suburbs in the very first World Club Challenge.
Chairman Eamonn McManus is expecting a massive crowd.
“On paper they are probably the strongest club side in the world,” he said. “So many people for so long have worked so hard to get us a stadium that is the envy of the rugby league world and which was as meant for nights such as this.
“The country and world will be watching our town and our club that night. Let’s make sure they see a crowd that is proud of who we are and what we have got, and that Langtree Park is rocking.
“We certainly have a lot to make up for after last year’s embarrassment and we are determined to lay that particular ghost to rest. It’s a massive night for everyone connected to the Club and to the town.
“Let’s all pull together and show the world who we are, what we can do and what a great sport we represent.”
