Wakefield Will Be Eager

JAMES Roby says Saints will need to be on their guard when they face Wakefield this Friday.

Whilst their league position may not show it in terms of results, the Wildcats are more than capable of scoring points.

And only today coach Brian Smith resigned from the club meaning the squad will be fired up when they come to Langtree Park.

“They will be wound up for the game and eager to prove a point,” Roby said. “They will want to play for pride in the club. We saw that when we played Hull KR this season and throughout my career I have come across it a number of times.

“When a coach leaves a club teams always seem to play well off the back of it. We will need to be aware of that.

“We know they also attack well and have fantastic players with the ball in hand. We will have to defend well to get anything out of the game.

“There’s no easy games in Super League and they will come to Langtree eager to prove a point.

“I’m confident if we show the right attitude and prepare well then we can come away with the two points.”

Tickets for Friday’s game remain on sale from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park, by calling 01744 455 052 or by logging on here.
