Swift’s Mum Offers New Perspective!

KNOWLEDGE is Power, so to celebrate Mother’s Day and the fact that Mums know best, First Utility took Chris Swift, the Mother of St Helens’ winger Adam, to Langtree Park last Friday evening where she was given the chance to be part of the live commentary team with Wish FM.

Chris, a St Helens local, joined Chris Price and former Saints man Mike Bennett from Wish FM in the press area for the game, offering a Mum’s perspective on the fixture with Castleford Tigers.

Chris said: “What a fantastic experience it was to go live on Wish FM on share my views with all the Saints fans tuning in.

“Luckily Adam had an eventful first half, scoring a try, but he went off injured at half time which was a bit of a worry as any Mum can sympathise with.

“Chris and Mike from Wish FM were great and helped me settle into my role as a pundit and hopefully fans listening agreed with me that Mum’s do know best!”

Amanda Cumine, Director of Communications at First Utility, added: “We all know Mum’s know best and Chris falls into that category – she gave some fantastic insight into life as a Rugby League Mum that no doubt the listeners of Wish FM enjoyed.

“I hope Adam spoilt his Mum on Mother’s Day for such a good performance on the airwaves and we hope to hear that Chris has been signed up as Rugby League’s next commentator.
