KEIRON Cunningham says Saints will have to win the energy battle if they are to be successful this Friday.
His side play their third game in seven days when they face in form Hull FC at Langtree Park.
“Hull come into this game on the back of two victories,” Cunningham said. “They came from behind to beat Hull KR and did really well to beat Warrington.
“They are a side who potentially can do good things this year. We know their threats and dangers and we will need to be ready for them.
“But this is a different game. It is the third of a three game ‘fight’ in this period and the third match is always the toughest one. It is about the energy battle and who wins that.
“Whoever gets that right will come away with the spoils.
“Last year we were not good against Hull at Langtree Park and it hurt us at the back end of the year.
“Every point is really valuable especially in this competition.”
