SAINTS can confirm that Tommy Makinson is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The 24-year-old damaged his ACL during the game with Widnes.
“We’re all gutted for Tommy but he is one of the most professional players we have and will be dedicated to his rehab,” Keiron Cunningham said. “We will miss his contribution to our side but this gives an opportunity for another player in the squad to come through and seize his chance.
“Our squad is experienced at dealing with long term injuries and we will look to it once more.
“In the meantime, we wish Tommy all the best.”
