KC Enjoying Consistency

SAINTS go in search of their seventh win on the spin this Friday when they host Catalans at Langtree Park.

But they’ll face a tough test against a Dragons side that has beaten them twice this season.

“We all know it is a results based industry so after picking up a few results it certainly makes the pressures of coming into work a lot less so,” Head Coach Keiron Cunningham said. “But the manner we are going about things definitely does help too. We are doing lots of good things which makes for good video sessions.

“We always try for consistency and as a coach and player the way you get that is by sticking with the same team. You have to give them a shot and it has been working so it hard to change something unless there is something to come in and improve it.

“We probably got the toughest draw of the opening month out of anyone in the competition. We have to play all of the top five in our first four games – and Friday’s game will certainly be tough.

“Catalans are a good side. They have probably hit the skids a little over recent weeks but we have been guilty of that earlier on in the season too. They won on Saturday and have beaten us twice this season. They have certainly had our number but we will be a different side to the one they’ve faced on those two occasions.”

On the injury front Theo Fages could return next week.

“He has a good chance for next week but it will be tough to change anything,” Keiron continued. “We are kicking well and sticking to the game plan so it would be tough to change the side at the minute.”

Tickets for the clash are now on sale from the Ticket Office at Langtree Park, by calling 01744 455 052 or online here.
