Saints continued their preparation for the new season with a trip to the Lake District and the Cassius Camps.
The first team squad have been working hard for the 2017 Betfred Super League campaign and the trip away was an opportunity to experience something different in the build up to our opening fixture with Leeds Rhinos.
Day one took in a 45km mountain bike ride followed by clay pigeon shooting and a physical challenge.
The lads camped in a local hall overnight and were then treated to a long hike around Grisdale.
More ‘camping’ followed before they returned home on Saturday.
With five new players coming into the squad – and seven being promoted from the Academy – the trip was also a vital team-bonding exercise ahead of a big year.
