Following a late night at the race track the boys were up bright and early to make the long trip to 'Shelley Beach' in Manly for a morning of scuba diving.
Day 17 – Wednesday October 25
As you can imagine there was plenty of pre dive bravado with talk about hoping to see sharks, jellyfish and stingrays. Oh how it all changed when the reality hit home, and there was plenty of nervous smiles, glances and twitches as they made the long walk to the sea!
Sharks were spotted a plenty but thankfully only small ones!
Following a spare hour around Manly to relax from the obvious anxieties, we headed back to Penrith to continue the on field preparations for Saturday’s final game versus the Penrith Panthers.
After three impressive performances it’s now a case of fine tuning some attacking and defensive cohesion, whilst keeping skills crisp in order to remain sharp and focused.
As ever food quickly became the focus for the lads following training and once again we were the fortunate guests of Penrith Panthers for our evening meal.
