Saints in the Community

Zeb Taia, Regan Grace, Ryan Morgan and Matty Smith were amongst 10 players who continued our annual Santa Dash today.

They visited 18 Primary Schools and one Secondary across the Borough to meet students and staff, sign autographs and deliver special gifts from our Community Development Foundation.

Ashurst, Bleak Hill, Cowley International College, Eccleston Lane Ends, Grange Valley, Haydock English Martyrs, Legh Vale, Longton Lane, Oakdene, St Annes (Rainhill), St Anne’s (Sutton), St James (Haydock), St John Vianney,  St Mary’s Blackbrook, St Theresa’s, St Thomas Of Canterbury, Sutton Manor, Sutton Oak and Thatto Heath all welcomed the players.

Saints have now visited 34 schools in just over seven days, with more appearances to follow over the next couple of weeks.

As a thank you, every school the Foundation has worked with on the SkyTry Programme received a family ticket to the Castleford game on February 2.

They can use it as a raffle prize or reward – and the school is also entered into a draw to win a framed signed shirt amongst other prizes.
