Roby Looks Ahead To Huddersfield

James Roby wants Saints to continue their good start to the Betfred Super League season when they travel to Huddersfield on Friday.

They may be two from two but face a tough test in a Giants side that beat Warrington at the John Smith’s Stadium last time out.

“It’s so far so good for us but we have to keep it going,” Roby said. “We’ve had a week off which in terms of having a rest and healing up you don’t really need at this stage of the season.

“On a game week you’re focused on that game and everything you do in the week builds up to that. Mentally you approach it a little different and I much prefer being in the routine of having a game every week. I’m looking forward to this one.

“The last two matches have shown we can do both facets of the game. In the first match we clicked attacking wise and scored points whereas at Catalans we had to go set for set. It was a case of who would crack first and luckily we got a try before half time.”

He continued: “It will be tough game at Huddersfield but it always is over there. In Danny Brough you have a player who can be off the cuff at times. He is a fantastic kicker of the ball, a great organiser and is tough for a smaller player.

“It’s not just him through, they have some big lads who like to bump, offload and spin out of the tackle. We will really have to work hard defensively and keep our line up together.”

Saints travel to Huddersfield on Friday February 23 before hosting Salford on March 2. Tickets are now on sale from the Ticket Office at the Totally Wicked Stadium, by calling 01744 455 052 or online here.
