Justin Holbrook was pleased with the response as Saints thrashed Huddersfield 66-4 at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
“I was really happy with that,” he said. “We wanted to bounceback and we did that really well. We played some nice football and it was great to watch the boys play like that.
“As a coach, when you play well in the first half you don’t want half time to come, but I thought we started the second half well.
“We slowed down a bit but it was really pleasing to see us get our rhythm back, kick on again and finish the game strongly.”
Holbrook handed a debut to young Matty Costello and Matty Lees also saw extended game time.
He continued: “Costello did really well; Matty Lees was outstanding as was Morgan Knowles. Then you have Jonny Lomax too.
“I was happy with everyone; we came and put in a really good performance.”
