Holbrook Wary Of Dragons

Justin Holbrook says no matter where Catalans sit on the league ladder his side will have to play well to take anything from this Thursday’s match.

Saints lock horns with the Dragons for the second time this season after edging the first contest with a backs-to-the-wall performance.

That result came in Round 2 and now 16 league points separate the two sides.

“That doesn’t concern me,” Holbrook said ahead of the clash. “There aren’t any easy games and I’m not worried about where they sit on the table. We know we have to play well.

“They got a good win over Hull FC at the weekend and I’m sure there’s no doom and gloom there. They will be thinking if we can beat Saints, we can challenge for the Super 8s. They aren’t a mile off that spot.

“We just have to worry about us playing well.”

Saints are boosted by the news that Ben Barba suffered no ill-effects following his neck injury last Thursday.

The full-back has been included in Holbrook’s 19 man squad, as has James Roby and Adam Swift.

“If Ben recovers in time for Thursday he will play,” Justin added. “It is great news. We hoped all along it was precautionary but the doctor had a protocol to follow. It is great news but if he isn’t right he won’t play. He definitely will be right the week after.

“It is the same situation with Robes too. He is training fine but if he isn’t right I won’t play him.”

Tickets for the clash are now on sale from the Ticket Office at the Totally Wicked Stadium, by calling 01744 455 052, or online here.
