Luke Douglas says Warrington will be "revamped and ready to go" when they travel to the Totally Wicked Stadium this Thursday.
Saints won the last game between the two sides but the prop forward admits the task facing them will be different this time round.
“They’ve been up for a good couple of months and been playing some great rugby,” he said. “I know they were disappointed with their efforts when we played them last. They’re going to be revamped, ready to go and a hungry side, so we’ve got to be ready.
“They’ve got a lot of great players in their squad and we’ve got a fair bit of work to do all over the park, but if we can keep our standards and keep pushing forward then hopefully we’ve got a good shot.”
Saints head into the match ten points clear of second place in the Betfred Super League.
Such a gap could afford the side to switch off but Douglas says the focus remains on keeping up momentum.
“We haven’t really spoken about the table too much, we’re just in a good frame of mind,” he added. “We’re all working hard, want to improve and we’re picking little bits that we can improve on. You can always get better and that’s the way you’ve got to look at it.
“We just keep stepping up and if we keep building, we’re going in the right direction.”
Douglas has played 22 times for Saints this season and says whilst his game time is limited, he is giving his all for the side.
“Whenever I get my chance I’ve got to do my bit and get the team forward as well as being solid in defence,” he added. “When I get my opportunity I’ve got to get on there and take it with both hands and put it in for the team.”
